PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a communication member by properly arranging the connection part of an ink or air tube with the communication member and the flow path of the connection part with an ink storage part. CONSTITUTION:A sub-tank 300 consists of a tank member 331 constituting an ink chamber and an air chamber, an inner plate 333 having connection holes formed thereto and a connection plate 335 having connection grooves and connection pipes formed thereto. The tank member 331 has ink chambers of respective colors and the connection holes connecting the respective chambers of the tank member 331 to the connection grooves of the connection plate 335 are formed to the inner plate 333 and the connection hole 341 is connected to the connection pipe 321 and the connection hole 343 is connected to the connection pipe 323. Three kinds of connection pipes are connected to the connection plate 335 and the ink supply tube from an ink cartridge is connected to the connection pipe 321 and the tube of an emission restoring unit to a suction pump is connected to the connection pipe 323 and the ink supply tube to a recording head chip is connected to the connection pipe 325. By using a plate-shape flow path forming member, an ink storage member having a simple shape can be obtained. |
