<p>Cache-type memory structure comprising a cache memory having a plurality of blocks for storing corresponding data from a main memory, means for managing the allocation of the said blocks, in which the said means are adapted for associating with each block a flag having a first value (/V) when the block is free or contains completely used data, a second value (RAH) when the block contains data requested for a read ahead operation but never used, a third value (RAH_O) when the block contains data requested for a read ahead operation but never used for a period of time greater than a first threshold value (VL), a fourth value (U) when the block contains partially used data, a fifth value (RD_O) when the block contains partially used data and in which the period of time from a last use is greater than a second threshold value (VL1), the said means (160) selecting for the allocation of the data one of the blocks depending on the value of the said flags. <IMAGE></p> |
