PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly transfer to departure control by setting a first pump capacity control area to control capacity of a variable displacement hydraulic pump according to an engine speed deviation and a second pump capacity control area to control capacity of the variable displacement hydraulic pump so as to become target pump capacity. SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission unit 2 to constitute a hydraulic continuously variable transmission T together with a mechanical transmission unit 1, is composed of a variable displacement hydraulic pump 24 and a hydraulic motor 25, and a vehicle is driven by motive power of the hydraulic motor 25. Two areas are set as a control area in a pump capacity control means to perform capacity control of this hydraulic pump 24. That is, they are a first control area to control capacity so that an engine speed becomes a target engine speed on the basis of accelerator opening or the like and a second control area to control capacity so as to become target pump capacity on the basis of a vehicle operating condition. When the engine speed becomes a prescribed value or less under control in the second control area, control to increase pump capacity is prohibited. |
