REFLECTION PREVENTIVE MATERIAL AND OPTICAL MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide the reflection preventive material which has low reflection factor characteristics over a wide range of visible light and superior practicability at a low cost. SOLUTION: On at least one surface of a transparent base material, a reflection preventive layer 2 is formed by laminating metal oxides which are different in refractive index alternately in order and the high-refractive-index layers 2a and low-refractive-index layers 2b of the reflection preventive layer 2 are formed of the same metal oxides respectively; and the refractive indexes of the high-refractive-index layers 2a are 1.9 to 2.5 and higher in order as the high-refractive-index layers 2a are closer to the transparent base material 1 while the refractive indexes of the low-refractive-index layers 2b are 1.3 to 1.5 and higher in order as the high-refractive-index layers 2a are closer to the transparent base material 1.
