PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor having substantially planar geometric shape. SOLUTION: In a capacitor 10 composed of a case 16, a first electrode 12 in which a capacitive material contained in the electrode 12 as a first electrode active material is electrically brought into contact with a first electrode terminal and which is provided on at least one conductive substrate, a second electrode 14 which is housed in the case 16 and connected to a second electrode terminal, a separator which is provided between the first and second electrodes 12 and 14 so as to prevent short-circuiting between the electrodes 12 and 14, and an electrolytic solution which activates the electrodes 12 and 14. At the same time, the capacitor electrically relates the electrodes 12 and 14 to each other, the conductive substrate itself forms at least part of the sidewall of the case 16 or is brought into an electrical contact with the sidewall of the case 16 and the capacitive material is formed from an ultrasonically produced aerosol of the first electrode active material. |
