摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance running stability by effectively making use of engine brake at the time of deceleration in speed, and also enhance responsiveness in acceleration when a vehicle is accelerated again after it has been decelerated once. SOLUTION: It is so constituted that the input rotation of an engine is actuated in gear shifting in a stepless manner so as to be outputted to the side of each driving wheel 11 by means of a continuously variable transmission (HMT) 2 provided with a static hydraulic type transmission (HST) in parallel, where a mechanical type transmission (MT) is interposed between an input shaft and an output shaft. This control device is provided with a deceleration requisition operating part 31 which judges and operates a degree of deceleration requisition by an operator, an engine revolution operating part 32 operating a target engine revolution capable of obtaining the quantity of braking torque by engine braking in response to deceleration requisition, and a speed change ratio operating part 33 operating the speed change ratio of the HMT corresponding to the target engine revolution. When the degree of deceleration requisition of the operator is high, the speed change ratio of the HMT is so controlled that the engine is thereby operated at the maximum torque revolution capable of generating the maximum engine braking torque.
