<p>Novel abrasive particles for cleaning conduits, particularly subterranean wellbores are described. The particles are rounded, preferably spherical, and have a hardness of 80 to 200 Vickers. The particles are preferably made of non-metallic material such as Calcite pellets. The new abrasives cause significantly less damage to the well tubulars than sand.</p> |
