<p>A navigator comprising a map information storing means (11) in which map data are stored, a route determining means (13) which determines a route between two points on the map data, a guide-objective intersection detecting means (14) which detects a guide-objective intersection on the route to which the user is guided, a present position detecting means (12) which detects the present position of a moving body, an arithmetic quantizing means (15) which quantizes the determined route into a simple figure and a display means (16) which displays the quantized route step by step in accordance with the distance relation between the nearby guide-objective intersection and the present position. The burden of the user of recognizing the displayed information can be relieved, the installation position of the navigator can be selected flexibly and the cost of the navigator as a whole can be reduced.</p> |
