Handling device e.g. for motorised hedge cutter

The handling device has a main lever connected to one end of a cable and is arranged to draw the cable which is connected by it's other end to an operating element. A position adjustment mechanism (30) has a secondary lever supporting a belt pulley (29) for a cable which is wound around as a reversal point. The secondary lever is arranged so that the belt pulley is moved into a desired holding position so as to set a draw stretch for the cable. Where the machine has an internal combustion engine, the handling device has a throttle valve lever (36) attached to the end of a cable. The other end of the cable is connected to the throttle valve of the combustion engine.
