The device has a current rectifier in the form of a honeycomb through which the intake air flows. Micro-eddies are generated in the air flow. These flow to an air mass measuring device arranged downstream of the rectifier. To generate the eddies (5) the downstream edges (12) of the honeycomb walls (10) is provided with profiles extending into the flow cross-section of the honeycomb. The honeycomb walls are preferably bent at the flow edge perpendicular to the flow direction. The profiles of these edges may be bulges, wavy or pointed.
