<p>The injector consists of an insert (2) which is fitted into the lower end of the outlet duct. It has an inner passage for the main gas flow to pass through and a series of lengthwise grooves (6) in its upper section (5) which form channels with the inner surface of the duct through which an auxiliary gas can be injected to increase the flow rate. The grooves can be straight or spiral in shape, and are spaced evenly round the outer surface of the insert. They can be in sufficient numbers to be more or less adjacent. the insert is made in one piece and has inner and outer surfaces which can be circular or polygonal. Its upper section is made in the shape of a truncated cone tapering at an angle of 10 - 40 degrees, and preferably 25 degrees. The injector is mounted on a base made of aluminium alloy or PVC.</p> |
