PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of coupling between primary and secondary coils. SOLUTION: In a magnetic coupler which is constituted to insert and set the primary unit 30 of an electric automobile into and in the secondary unit 20 of the automobile, a primary coil 32 is constituted so that the coil 32 may be inserted into a secondary coil 22 and primary and secondary cores 21 and 31 are constituted to form a closed magnetic circuit which is closed below the coils 32 and 22. Most of the magnetic flux excited in the primary coil 32 is coupled with the secondary coil 22.
