PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simple execution of double-side printing by a printer for single-side printing. SOLUTION: Print data generated from an application are stored in a spooler file 303 on a page-by-page basis. When a spool file manager 304 judges the data to be printable, on the occasion of executing double-side printing, it gives a despooler 305 an instruction to output a request for printing. On the occasion, the sequence of the output is determined on the basis of the direction of paper feeding and the direction of paper delivery obtained from a printer 1500. In the case of face-up feeding and face-up delivery and in the case of the data of six pages in total, for instance, the output is made first in the sequence of 6, 4 and 2 and then in the sequence of 5, 3 and 1 after paper is reset. In this way, the double-side printing can be executed simply by a single-side printer as well, according to the type of the printer. |
