Transporting system for roses and similar single-budded flowers

The system transports the roses to a sorting machine which sorts the roses into length and/or diameter. The system includes a number of holding members with slots for hanging the roses by their buds. The holding members are transported one after the other against each other. A segregating device is provided for separating the holding members from each other. A separator is provided for separating the roses in one holding member from the roses in a second holding member. A control device is provided for ensuring that a rose is always offered in a correct position to the sorting machine.
