Cigarette paper marking, used to identify genuine goods

Cigarette paper marking comprises printing invisible markings (220) on the cigarette paper (250) which show up only when the cigarette is exposed to an appropriate temperature = 200-270 deg C. The markings are printed using solutions of salts such as alkaline metal salts or mono-ammonium phosphate that can be applied in different concentrations for the markings and the surrounding zones, and are small enough not to alter the combustion rate of the cigarette.
