PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a communication section until the set time by installing a battery residual capacity detecting means, power consumption setting means for the communication means and an additional function means, and a timesetting means for setting the time for the communication means to be kept in a usable condition. SOLUTION: In this system, a time-setting section 107 sets the duration the system uses for a communication section 102 and transmits the set time to a CPU 101. Then, the CPU 101 calculates the power necessary to use the communication section 102, until the set time based on a power consumption value per unit time set in a communication section power consumption setting section 108, a power consumption value set in an additional function section power consumption setting section 109, and the time counted by a time-counting section 110. Furthermore, the CPU 101 compares the calculation result with a battery residual capacity obtained, based on the calculation result and judges whether the communication section 102 can be driven until the set time. In the case that the battery residual capacity is smaller than the calculation result, the CPU 101 calculates the longest possible time to use the communication section 102, based on the present battery residual capacity and notifies it. By this method, the communication section can be used until the set time. |
