PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely judge that a moving body is stopped by use of only the output from an acceleration sensor by judging that the moving body is stopped when a prescribed change pattern of acceleration generated in the moving body is recognized. SOLUTION: The stoppage of a vehicle is judged when a peculiar change pattern 'swing-back' of acceleration of vehicle is recognized. The change pattern of acceleration causing a swing-back comprises (1) a continuation of negative acceleration (acceleration acting backward the vehicle) for a prescribed period, (2) a sudden change from negative acceleration to positive acceleration in a short time, (c) observation of damping vibration. Thus, when these change patterns are detected in order by an acceleration sensor 1, the stoppage is judged. The electric connection of the sensor and navigation device preliminarily set on a moving body is dispensed with, and the mounting work of the navigation device is simplified. |
