The roll up cover (10) for a swimming pool (1) has a flexible cover (11) with its size and shape adapted to that of the swimming pool. Reinforcement rods (12) extend across the cover and rest at their ends on the edges (2) of the pool. A shaft (13) for rolling up the cover is connected at one end to the cover and to a drive motor. Each reinforcing rod has an opening (20) formed at the top of the edges of the pool. Rollers (21) are provided to roll on the edges during rolling and unrolling of the covers.
