<p>A cost-effective adsorbent for VOC-PSA which can efficiently recover low-concentration VOC and has both high reversible VOC adsorption capacity and high hydrophobization capacity, and a method for easily and efficiently recovering hydrocarbons from waste gas containing gaseous hydrocarbons by using the adsorbent in a simple system. The adsorbent is composed mainly of silica and is a porous particulate having a specific surface area of 400 to 700 m2/g, an average pore diameter of 0.4 to 0.3 nm, and a water vapor adsorption of 3 to 10 ml/g. The adsorbent has high selectivity for VOC relative to water vapor.</p> |
