Immunoassay for the detection of active insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (BPs) or soluble insulin-like growth factor receptors (R) comprises: (a) an antibody specific for BP used in separating or detecting BP in a sample; and (b) labelled ligands specific for R used in separating or detecting R in a sample.
