The stand comprises a number of holders arranged one above the other, each for holding a stacked item (18). At least two compartment units (8,10) are linked together, of which each has two mutually parallel stacking planes (14,16) in which the stacked items are arranged with a large surface lying in one plane, whereby one of the compartment units (10) can be pivoted on a carrier (2). Each stacking plane is formed by sliding drawers of a compartment unit. Each compartment unit has a rear wall (19) with several protruding parallel base carriers (20,21,22,24), whereby each two adjacent base carriers form two adjacent drawers.
