PURPOSE:To effectively feed last one sheet without damaging the printing face of a printing sheet by bringing sheet feeding means into contact with the rear face of the sheet of lowermost position in the bottom of a sheet feed tray, and so conveying and feeding it as to bring the rear face of the sheet into contact with the periphery of a platen of a printer. CONSTITUTION:A sheet feed roller 38 is brought into pressure contact with the rear face of a lowermost printing sheet 8 exposed from an opening 24 formed in the bottom 23 of a sheet feed tray 20 for exposing part of the sheet 8, so conveyed as to bring the rear face of the sheet into contact with the periphery of a platen 14, and the sheet is fed from the lower side of the tray 20 to the platen 14. Thus, since the sheet 8 can be set in the tray 20 with the front face of the sheet disposed upside, the sheet can be sequentially fed from the lowermost sheet of a plurality of the sheets 8 set in the tray 20 to the platen 14. Accordingly, the last one sheet can be smoothly and effectively fed to the platen 14 without damaging the printing face of the sheet. |
