FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with electron-excited phosphors that may be used in projection screens and collimators of electron-beam tubes, and also in holography. Electron-excited phosphor of invention contains (on conversion to oxides) 3-6 wt % terbium, 2-10 wt % gadolinium, and yttrium oxido-sulfide (the rest). Phosphor is characterized by green glow and half-width of spectral maximum λ=1.0-2.5 at λ=545.5 mcm, which does not change at lowering temperature to 77K and at raising it to 357K, and light output 10 Cd/W at λ.
