PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an exhaust system air cleaner without detaching a body cover, by providing a muffler with the exhaust system air cleaner in a supplying device whose end part supplies air through secondary air supplying pipe which is connected to the exhaust system air cleaner. SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine, an intake system is connected to an intake opening, an exhaust pipe 27 extends out of an exhaust port 26, and a muffler body 30 is connected to its back part. Into an exhaust system, secondary air is introduced through a secondary air supplying system which includes a secondary air supplying pipe 37 with an exhaust system air cleaner 35 and a reed valve 36. The exhaust system air cleaner 35 faces its air intake port 35a front downward, and is attached to back part of a vertical mounting piece 41 which is fixed to the top of a muffler body 30 with a connecting means 42. The reed valve 36 is mounted on two arms of a mounting piece 43 which is fixed to the vertical mounting piece 41 with a connecting means 44. Thus, during maintenance work, a body cover is not required to be detached. |
