PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of manifesting hysterisis characteristics of great color and transparency dependent on a temperature change by compounding a specific base resin with an aromatic petroleum-based hydrocarbon resin. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by fixing (A) a homogeneous compatible substance of essential three components of (i) an electron donative coloring organic compound, (ii) a compound having phenolic hydroxyl group and (iii) a compound selected from any of alcohols, esters, etc., in (B) a base resin containing (iv) a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer mixed with (v) an aromatic petroleum-based hydrocarbon resin as a transparency improver in a fine particulate dispersed state or a solid solution state in which the particle diameter cannot be microscopically confirmed. The composition is capable of changing color and transparency manifesting great hysteresis dependent on a temperature change and assuming an enantiotropic change of a decolored transparent to a colored transparent states and a decolored transparent to a colored opaque states before and after the change and manifesting the alternative memory holding functions for each state in a specific temperature region. |
