PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mixing of the other thread by replacing a thread supply bobbin when a winding package becomes full, catching a thread end of the thread supply bobbin at a thread end of a winding unit, and taking back the caught thread end by gripping a thread of a doffing device to mount on an empty winding pipe exchanged with the package which is full. SOLUTION: When a package P of a winding unit 2 becomes full, a unit control part 9 operates a thread cutting part 16A of a yarn clearer 16 to cut a thread Y of the old thread supply bobbin 4 and stop the rotation of a drum 7. When the thread Y of the old thread supply bobbin 4 is cut from the package P, the thread supply bobbin A in which the winding is completed is removed from each winding unit 2, and a new thread supply bobbin 4 is attached to each winding unit 2. Then, a thread end of the thread supply bobbin 4 is blown up to cut the thread. A thread Y of a new thread supply bobbin 4 in which the thread Y of the old thread supply package 4 and a thread seamγare continuous is suctioned and caught in a yarn trap 17 so that the thread Y of the new thread supply bobbin 4 is not mixed in the package P.
