PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure battery drive of a printer integrated with a digital camera by employing a thermal head of such structure as a plurality of heating elements are arranged in line on a substrate having low thermal conductivity and employing a recording medium having a porous surface as a print record medium thereby reducing power required for the printing section. SOLUTION: A thermal head 10 comprises a plurality of heating elements 10a formed on the surface of a columnar glass rod 10f elongating in the main scanning direction, and a plurality of electrodes 10g-1, 10h-1 connected with the heating elements 10a, respectively. A recording sheet 2, i.e., a recording medium having a porous surface, being used in such a thermal transfer printer is formed by laminating a plastic sheet 2b of about ten and severalμm thick provided with multiple holes having diameter of 1-2μm onto a basic material 2a of plain paper of synthesized paper. Since the contact area with an ink ribbon is decreased as compared with a plain sheet, thermal conductivity is halved and thermal efficiency is enhanced significantly.
