PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray emitter with a safety mechanism to appropriately protect accidents caused by ultraviolet ray or ozone due to misoperation. SOLUTION: A dent part 18 is formed at one surface, in the dent part 18, a main body 12 storing an ultraviolet ray lamp 20 and a cover 48 covering the dent opening of the main body 12. The cover 48 is made of a material which prevents transmittance of an ultraviolet ray of less than 320 nm wavelength, and a lock means (a fitting pin 38 of the main body 12 and a notch 52 of the cover 48) connecting the main body 12 to the cover 48 is provided. A safety switch 64 is provided which can regulate a power distribution to the ultraviolet ray lamp 20 even if a power supply switch 14 is turned on to supply power to the ultraviolet ray lamp 20. |
