PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a gear range in all the number of revolutions by connecting a planetary gear supporting body to an intermediate shaft and connecting a sun gear to a machine casing via its one end and to a working spindle via the other end while preventing them respectively from rotating relatively. SOLUTION: In a gear selecting device 32, the first or slow gear stage in a two-stage type transmission gear is operated. A claw clutch 36 is engaged, and a claw clutch 35 is released. In this way, a sun gear 17 is fixed to a casing 10 via a switching shaft 18 so as to be stopped. The flow of force is transmitted from a driving pinion 12 to an interlocking sleeve 14 so as to be transmitted to a planetary gear supporting body 20 via an overload preventing clutch 16. In a pair of planetary gears 21, one is geared to the stopped first sun gear 17, while the other is geared to the second sun gear 19 so as to drive the second sun gear 19. |
