FIELD: bridge construction, in particular, systems of water disposal on big and middle-size bridges. SUBSTANCE: bridge has piers, span structures with main beams, roadway slab, bridge floor, side walks, pavement, guards and water disposal system. Bridge water catchment areas are inclined at grates of different signs where in depressions, gaps are provided with water receiving disposal trough. Installed in gap are protective plates from pavement to trough, and water catchment area includes surface of bridge floor parapet guards made on the side of bridge face; and installed along the gap are protective barriers. Gap with trough may be made between roadway slab and one of sidewalks which is installed on cantilevers concreted in roadway slab. Attached to cantilever is trough with protective plate overhanging above trough. Gap with trough may be made in space provided as interval for vehicle crossing point. Service sidewalk has deck made of removable lattice sections secured to posts of guard barriers installed on slab from both sides to gap for water flowing from roadway. EFFECT: maximum closeness of bridge real service life to designed service life due to qualitative water disposal, improved conditions of mechanical cleaning, operation and repair. 7 cl, 9 dwg0
