PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform, by one process, roll-pressed composite working for the outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter side cylinder, and working surface of a taper-shaped beveling part of a staged shaft, by relatively rotating a tool head and a frame to detect the axial directional position of a work piece, and inverting the movement direction of the work piece based on this detection output. SOLUTION: A tool head 3, having a tapered inner peripheral surface, is formed on the guide surfaces of first and second tool rollers 8 and 9, and the tool rollers 8 and 9 are fittedly engaged coaxially with the inner periphery of the tool head 3, to arrange a frame 5 formed of a hollow part insertable by a work piece. The tool head 3 and the frame 5 are relatively rotated by a motor 11 via a timing belt 13, to detect the axial directional position of the work piece by a detection rod 14; and based on this detection output, the movement direction of the work piece is inverted. Consequently tapering a tip part, besides the cylinder work surface of the work piece, can be performed by one working process. |
