PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer molding device and an initial position returning method for its plunger head in which the registering work for the plunger head with a mold at the time of replacing a mold is eliminated and the replacement for the mold and the plunger is simplified to a large extent. SOLUTION: In a transfer molding device, a plunger rod 53 is provided in a lower chase block 47, and a plunger head 49 is pushed up by the plunger rod 53 separated from the plunger head 49 to inject tablets 57 into a carrier C. When the injection is completed and mold clamped and a molded product is released and the plunger rod 53 is lowered and also a new tablet 57 is placed on the plunger head 49 and mold clamped, the tablet 57 and the plunger head 49 are pushed down to the initial positions in a cylinder 55 by an upper face block 45. |
