The collection tube (C) is connected through a sump drain valve (B) - or through a probe passed down the dipstick channel - to the sump (A) to be emptied. Suction applied to the tank (G), via an air-valve (H), from the compressed air Venturi (E,F), draws oil into the tank through a 3-way valve (J). Power is provided by a battery (N), panel-mounted with a mains charger (P), control switch (D) and indication lamps. A level sensor (S) shuts power off when the tank is full. To transfer oil to static storage, the collection tube is connected, via the 3-way valve (J), to the tank base. New control switch (D) and air-valve (H,L) settings raise tank pressure 0.5 bar above atmospheric, emptying the tank by reverse flow through the tube.
