Securing position of electrically coupled materials

The service life of contact points of different or identical materials, eg. in power semiconductors can be increased by additional application of coating materials, such as aluminium oxide, by suitable coating process, eg. thermal spraying. The process is based on the model of a pressure contact and provides a reliable securing, even if crack are formed. It uses a coating matrix, which cannot be removed by subsequent application of the switching coating, which can be punctiform, partial, or over entire surface. The contact points cannot be influenced after matrix material removal.
