The device at lest the setting members used for sheet brakes, suction rings or sheet feeders able to move on a common carrier. Each setting member has a drive motor connected to a control. The control (7) allocates to one setting member (1.1-1.7) at least one position determined by the position of another setting member (1.1-1.7). In this position, the movement of the control member in a predetermined direction can be stopped. At least one setting member may have a sensor (4.2-4.7) in working connection with the control.
