<p>PURPOSE:To make up for the dust collecting effect, bactericidal effect and deodorizing effect in respective sections one another and purify air completely by forming the constitution of an electronic dust collecting section, a bactericidal lamp and a deodorizing section by means of ozone in a casing. CONSTITUTION:Polluted air sucked from an air intake 2 is transferred to an electronic dust collecting section 5. The electronic dust collecting section 5 is irradiated by a bactericidal lamp 6, and light including untraviolet rays from he bactericidal lamp 6 is reflected by a mirror 7 and transmitted deep into the inside of the electronic dust collecting section 5. Therefore, not only the dust collecting effect but also the bactericidal effect can be provided in the electronic dust collecting section 5. Then, air is transferred to a deodorizing section 9. A part of a malodorous substance entering the deodorizing section 9 is reacted directly with ozone diffused over an inlet section, oxidized and deodorized. Ozone not reacting with the malodrous substance is absorbed as oxygen O to wall faces of a honeycomb cells while passing through a catalyst. At that time, the remaining malodorous substance is reacted with oxygen on the catalyst surface and turned into an odorless substance. The bactericidal action by ozone is also applied to the deodorizing section 9.</p> |
