The locking sleeve (1) has a cup (3) with a tubular fastener section (4) next to it to fasten the cup on the shaft. Cup and shaft section are formed from semi-shells (1a,b), which are connected esp. welded to each other along a joint. The cup contains a gate link (5) to limit the gear shift movement, and the joint plane passes through the gate link. The gate link has been cut in the semi-shells especially by laser.
