PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eggshell inspection device wherein presence of remaining eggshell fragment in a broken egg is appropriately inspected. SOLUTION: An eggshell inspection device 10 comprises irradiation means 12 and 14 for irradiating an egg 24 whose shell 22 has been broken with a light L1 of specific wavelength band, a wavelength selection means 16 which absorbs the light of almost the same wavelength as the one selected by the irradiation means 12 and 14 among the light from the egg 24, and a judging means 18 which judges whether an eggshell remains or not based on the intensity information for fluorescence obtained by the wavelength selection means 16.
