PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mounting structure of a rigid roof material, which is used for a roof surface having a steep slope particularly, is not fluttered even after the execution of works and has excellent roofing. SOLUTION: The mounting structure has an approximately square-shaped rigid roof material A, a recessed sectional waterproof panel strip B formed of a horizontal surface-shaped panel strip section 6 and waterproof pieces, in which the left-right both end sections of the panel strip section 6 are projected upwards, and a support metal fitting C formed of an approximately horizontal fixing surface 9, an upstanding piece, in which one end of the fixing surface 9 is erected vertically, a hold-down piece 12, in which the front end of the upstanding piece is bent in parallel with the fixing surface 9, a fitting piece 13, in which the front end of the hold-down piece 12 is bent in an L shape, and a fitting groove 14 formed in an approximately U-shaped cross section of the fitting piece 13 and the hold-down piece 12. The waterproof panel strips B are placed on the rears of joint sectionsαat the left-right end sections of the rigid roof material A, the upper end section of the rigid roof material A is fixed by the hold-down pieces 12 of the support metal fittings C while the fixing surfaces 9 of the support metal fittings C are fixed onto the roof foundationsαthrough fixtures, and the lower end section of the rigid roof material A is inserted into the fitting grooves 14 of the fixed support metal fittings C and the rigid roof material A is fastened.
