PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute image formation by a thermal transfer recording system and to obtain labels which may be easily stuck to various kinds of articles by successively laminating a tacky adhesive layer, a sheet base material and an image receiving layer on a release sheet to form the labels and transferring the sublimatable dyes in the color material layer of a thermal transfer sheet onto the image receiving layer, thereby forming sublimation transfer images. SOLUTION: This label consists of a laminated structure formed by successively laminating the tacky adhesive layer 3, the sheet base material 4 and the image receiving layer 5 on the release sheet 2. The label has the structure releasable between the label part 8 formed by the tacky adhesive layer 3, the sheet base material 4 and the image receiving layer 5 and the release sheet 2. The label part 8 may be easily detached by peeling the label part along a notched line 7 from the release sheet 2. The image receiving layer 5 receives the sublimatable dyes successively migrated from the color material layer of the thermal transfer sheet by heating and forms the sublimation transfer image 6 at the time of thermal transfer recording. Namely, the sublimation transfer image 6 is formed as the sublimatable dyes in the color material layer of the thermal transfer sheet are transferred to the image receiving layer 5 by combining the label with the thermal transfer sheet and heating the label with a thermal head, etc. |
