PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To follow up displacement in not only the longitudinal direction of a highway bridge but also the rectangular direction and the rotational direction by installing a thick sheet-shaped elastic-body layer as an elastic body capable of being followed up to displacement working in not only the horizontal longitudinal direction but also the rectangular direction and the rotational direction. SOLUTION: The buried joint member 1 is mounted within the range of length L extending over both sides of an expansion joint gap 5 between bridge girders 2, 2, and the joint member 1 is fixed onto the floor slab 2A of the bridge girder 2 through connecting members 8 at both end sections within the range. Accordingly, since the joint member 1 can be slid without a constraint by the bridge girders 2 between the connecting members 8 by a sliding layer 16 set up to the joint member 1, the deformation and stress of a paving section 9 are dispersed uniformly within the range L, in which the joint member 1 is fitted, even when the bridge girders 2 are expanded or contracted by a temperature change, etc., and the expansion joint gap 5 is changed, and the state proper to the travelling of a car, etc., is maintained without generating excess deformation and cracks in the paving section 9. |
