The invention relates to a method for operating a gas turbine (2) in which compressed air and fuel are admitted to a combustion chamber. A coolant is admitted to the gas turbine and heated before expanding inside the gas turbine. In accordance with the invention, a fuel mixture is admitted as coolant (g) to hot turbine parts, thus guaranteeing particularly high efficiency. This fuel mixture reforms endothermically inside the hot turbine part and the reformate (e) thus produced is introduced at least partially into the working area (17) of the gas turbine (2) where it expands and burns.
