Filling assembly for tubular casing

A filling assembly discharges a product through a funnel (34) and pipe (16) into a flexible tubular casing (14) which is pre-positioned as an unsealed sheath around the pipe (16). The casing (14) slides off the outer pipe (16) and passes through an assembly (12) which closes and cuts off end. The novelty is that: (a) the pipe (16) incorporates a second outer concentric pipe with an air inlet discharging to a jet outlet directed at the inside leading end of the casing; (b) the jet directs the casing and contents through the closure (12) unit; (c) the casing neck is held on the pipe (16) during inflation by a collar (22).
