A pneumatic tyre of the kind described in the parent Specification having unbladed edge portions 2, each bonded to one of two annular metal members 4 together forming a tyresupporting rim member, and in which the carcass plies extend into the bonded edges, is modified in that the carcass is of the radial cord type and comprises a plug of rubberized metal cords bared at their ends 7, or at any other parts of the contacting surfaces of the edge portions 2 and annular metal members 4, so that they may be secured as by soldering directly to the members 4 or to auxiliary metal rings each secured in turn to the members 4.</p> |
