Catalyzed degradation of thermoplastic polyolefins and incorporation of degration products into heavy hydrocarbons

Degradation of thermoplastic polyolefin, and its incorporation into mixture of heavy hydrocarbons, comprises mixing at least one polyolefin and at least one hydrocarbon mixture at 200-450 degrees C in presence of at least one catalyst selected from acidic mineral solids containing copper, aluminium and silicon. Also claimed is application of the process in which products of degraded polyethylene are incorporated into oil.
