PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oral cavity composition which has preferable texture and is expected to have high plaque-removing effect by formulating aβ-1,3- glucan thereinto. SOLUTION: This composition contains aβ-1,3-glucan [e.g. curdlan (polysaccharides which are homopolymers containing glucose combined byβ-1,3-linkage and are produced from Alcaligenes faecalis and the genus Agrobacterium bacteria) and the like]. When the curdlan is used, if the amount is rich in curdlan, the crisp and little sticky texture is formed and if the amount is not rich, the sticky texture is formed. Ordinarily, curdlan is preferably utilized in an amount of 0.5-6 wt.% based on the whole weight of composition. Further, in order to formulate curdlan with an oral composition, the paste-like curdlan formed by heating an aqueous dispersion solution of curdlan at 40-60 deg.C is used.
