<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device having a large dust collecting capacity in spite of being small in size, and capable of decreasing the concentration of ozone in an air released to the outside by absorbing ozone further to prevent the effect on a human body in devices for collecting dust by ionizing air. SOLUTION: This air purifying device is provided with a metal made cylinder 21 having a flow-in and a flow-out port and being a passage of air and a sleeve 25 composed of activated carbon arranged in the inside of the metal made cylinder. A high voltage of max. 15,000 bolt is applied to an electrode 30 to ionize air in the flow-in side, simultaneously to generate ozone having high concentration, to sterilize germs, bacteria, etc., in the air by oxidation and to deodorize a malodor of organic material by oxidation. Further ionized dust or the like in the air is absorbed to the sleeve 25 on the way that the ionized air is passed through the cylinder 21 and exess ozone not contributing to the oxidation is allowed to react with the activated carbon sleeve 25 to be carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide and is discharged to the air.</p> |
