PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system where an existing computer resource and an existing memory resource in an electronic camera are used to process the image for printing. SOLUTION: A camera 10 supplies image processing and memory resources, and an image received from an imager 12 is tentatively stored in a volatile memory 14 unprocessed. In order to process the image data, various image processing algorithm stored in a program memory 16 is executed by an image processor 18 and the result is stored in a nonvolatile memory 20. Furthermore, the image is processed by the camera 10 prior to printing by using a parameter memory 22 and a printer interface 24. |
