PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable optimum animation correction for both animation parts of a fast image part and a slow image part by switching an input picture signal to a corrected signal and output it to a display device in accordance with whether magnitude of a detected motion vector is larger than the setting value or not. SOLUTION: A motion vector detecting section 10 detects motion vector of pixel between frames based on a video signal inputted to an input terminal 12 and outputs it. A quick animation correcting section 14 corrects a video signal inputted to the input terminal 12 by an animation correcting means being suitable for that a motion vector detected by the motion vector detecting section 10 is larger than the setting value and outputs it, and a slow animation correcting section 16 corrects a video signal inputted to the input terminal 12 by an animation correcting means being suitable for that a motion vector detected by the motion vector detecting section 10 is smaller than the setting value and outputs it. A quick and slow animation correcting video switching section 18 switches output signals of the quick animation correcting section 14 and the slow animation correcting section 16 in accordance with whether a detected motion vector is larger than the setting value or not and outputs it to an output terminal 20. |
