PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display constituted so that the fatigue of eyes is prevented by simple constitution by projecting a displayed picture as a virtual image and always changing the position of the projected virtual image. SOLUTION: The picture displayed on a liquid crystal panel 1 is projected as the virtual image by a lens 2. The panel 1 and a backlight 4 are provided on a direct moving guiding mechanism 5 and move back and forth in an optical axis direction by directly moving the mechanism 5. A rear position sensor 7 and a front position sensor 8 detect the panel 1 and inform a CPU 10 of the existence of the panel 1. The sensors 7 and 8 are moved while an observer observes the picture, and adjusted to a position taken just before the picture becomes blurred and is vanished. Since the position of the picture to be observed is changed at speed to such an extent that the observer is not conscious of it, the observer is prevented from keeping observing one point even when the observation is kept for a long time, whereby the fatigue given to the eyes is reduced in comparison with the case that the position is not changed. |
